So what's still left to do?  5 days till liftoff & we are diligently (yeah right) preparing for North America's largest annual international bike trade show.  I've been thinking & reading about this event for years.  Dreams of chatting with Eddy or Lance , seeing Bob Roll, enjoying the booth displays from legendary companies like Campagnolo, & as always, searching for Truth, Wool, & Everything Fixed Gear...  

HOTEL:  Off "The Strip" Las Vegas Boulevard, & close to The Sands Convention Center
BUS:  Greyhound to Vegas = low cost, minimal ENVIRONMENTAL impact, & Proudly Ghetto GEAR: A Backpack, a Bike in a Bag, & my newly hired assistant, DROID
BIKE: Purpose Built Special 56cm MURPHY HIMSELF Fixed Gear Bicycle in
Tuxedo Black" Textured Powdercoat.  It Gets around.
 

Why the Bus?  Planes are similar cost and 10 times faster...Driving is fairly easy, but a significant time & cost commitment.  Bus means time to read, sleep, & see the West.  Bus is the Most Environmentally Friendly or Green way for one person to travel this distance.  I'm in no big hurry, so Why not? 

SCHEDULE: The trip schedule sounds like a song...OK, part of a song...everybody in "C"...do I hear music?

PLAN:  Will leave Tulsa around dinner time Saturday night.  Morning dawn will come around Albuquerque, Will pass into the Nevada sun in the afternoon and arrive in Vegas Sunday about dark. Will take my Murphy & a couple of tools out of the bag, build it in a few minutes, roll up the bag, put on my backpack & ride to the hotel.
